Alzheimer’s walk raises nearly $56,000

More than 500 residents from Pasco County joined the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s at the Starkey Ranch District Park in Odessa, on Oct. 25. Participants raised $55,784 to help pay for care, support and research programs of the Alzheimer’s Association. Health and Wellness Fair focuses on the elderly

A free community Health and Wellness Fair, held recently in Land O’ Lakes,  focused on services that are available to the elderly, as they face changes in mind and body. ‘Strut Your Mutt’ Fashion Show wows residents

The Beach House at Wiregrass Ranch, 30070 State Road 56 in Wesley Chapel, hosted its inaugural ‘Strut Your Mutt’ Doggie Fashion show on March 16. Caregivers of Alzheimer’s patients don’t have to go it alone

When someone learns that a loved one is afflicted with Alzheimer’s disease, it can seem overwhelming. Phyllis Bross, a retired attorney from Land O’ Lakes, understands the feeling.
