New K-9 training complex breaks ground

A proposed 700-home addition to K-Bar Ranch is reopening arguments on the long-debated road connection of Kinnan Street in Hillsborough County and Mansfield Boulevard in Pasco County. Bond issue for jail and fire rescue expansions?

Pasco County commissioners are considering a possible referendum to see voter approval for a 30-year bond issue that would pay for a jail expansion, four new fire stations, and the expansion of five existing fire stations. Land O’ Lakes gets a bus circulator route

Local buses will begin making stops along the first circulator route to serve Land O’ Lakes. For the first week, from May 22 to May 27, rides will be free. Commission on Status of Women elects officers

The Commission on the Status of Women met recently to elect officers and begin exploring issues that they want to pursue in coming months. Pasco County commissioners established the 15-member commission in September 2016 as an advisory board. Push is on for forensic training center

A forensic training center – sometimes indelicately called a “body farm” – is being proposed for a site in Land O’ Lakes. Pasco opens new Utilities Administration Building

Pasco County is on the move. With the slice of ceremonial scissors, county officials cut the ribbon on the new 50,000-square-foot Utilities Administration Building, located at 19420 Central Boulevard, off U.S. 41.
