Florida job growth continues through October

Private-sector businesses in Florida added 32,000 jobs in October, dropping unemployment slightly in the state to 6.0 percent. That still remains slightly above the national unemployment rate of 5.8 percent with the creation of 214,000 jobs across the country. Florida adds more jobs in August

Florida created 23,000 private sector jobs in August, once again exceeding the nation's growth rate. The statewide unemployment rate for August is 6.3 percent, down 0.8 percentage points from the August rate, according to a release from Gov. Rick Scott's office.
