Turnout might break record in August primary

Midterm elections typically get a low voter turnout. But, there are signs of energized voters for the 2018 primary set for Aug. 28 and the general election on Nov. 6. Dade City Police gets a new K-9 team

The Dade City Police Department has a new K-9 team — with Officer Kevin Burns and his new partner Tyke. Burns is a 12-year veteran of the Dade City Police Department. The Dade City Police Department is still searching for a new K-9 team after a recent departure. Chris Stone, a 14-year law enforcement officer, and his K-9 partner, Ryko, worked together for eight years before retiring as a team about three months ago.
