After the race for the Lutz Guv’na wraps up every year, the money raised is doled out to local groups and causes. Kori Rankin is not only a first-time Lutz Guv’na candidate — she’s easily the youngest at 21 years old. Lutz Guv’na race debate set for May 20

It’s campaign season again — in Lutz, that is. The annual Lutz Guv’na Race is underway. And, it kicks off with the 2017 Guv’na Debate on May 20 at the Old Lutz School, 18819 N. U.S. 41. Lutz celebrates Independence Day

Lutz was awash in red, white and blue, during the community’s Independence Day celebration. Tributes to Old Glory showed up on T-shirts, hats, shorts and skirts. There were patriotic socks and headbands, too. Runners took part in a 5K or a one-mile fun run, and bakers showed off their skills in a cake and pie contest. Guv’na candidate increasing fundraising efforts

Greg Gilbert is new to the area — just like his competitor in the Lutz Guv’na race. Andre Pamplona is relatively new to the area, having moved to Lutz from Miami just last June.
