The Deaf and Hard of Hearing organization and the Sertoma Speech & Hearing Foundation will host a water safety class for deaf and hard of hearing children on June 4 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., at the New Port Richey Recreation and Aquatic Center, 6640 Van Buren St. The class is especially formatted for children with hearing challenges and is offered for free. Sign language interpreters will be available through Jessica Harris Interpreting Services. Families can stay after the event and play, too, at no cost.
