Carrollwood Cultural Center
Roald Dahl’s ‘Matilda The Musical’

(Courtesy of Carrollwood Cultural Center)

From June 15 through July 24, the Carrollwood Cultural Center will tell the story of an extraordinary girl who dares to take a stand, with its stage production of Roald Dahl’s “Matilda The Musical.” Inspired by the twisted genius of Roald Dahl, this Tony Award-winning show revels in the anarchy of childhood, the power of imagination, and the inspiring story of a girl who dreams of a better life.

Matilda is a little girl with astonishing wit, intelligence, and psychokinetic powers. She’s unloved by her cruel parents but impresses her schoolteacher, the highly loveable Miss Honey. Over her first term at school, Matilda and Miss Honey profoundly affect each other’s lives, as Miss Honey begins recognizing and appreciating Matilda’s extraordinary personality. However, Matilda’s school life isn’t completely smooth. The school’s mean headmistress, Miss Trunchbull, hates children and just loves thinking up new punishments for those who don’t abide by her rules. But Matilda has courage and cleverness in equal amounts, and could be the school pupils’ saving grace!

Roald Dah’s “Matilda The Musical” is written by Dennis Kelly with original songs by Tim Minchin, and presented through a special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI (MTIShows.com).

In the Loop Brewing Company
When In the Loop Brewing Company was founded, the business’ goal was to bring together good friends and family, creating special memories, and celebrating all of life’s little triumphs and big accomplishments. Long before it existed as a brick-and-mortar brewery and tap house, the concept began with a couple of friends home-brewing beer in their garage. The original “Loop” was a place for them to gather and to set aside time from their busy schedules, sometimes to celebrate a birthday, an important milestone, or simply to enjoy the company of good friends, laugh, let loose & drink the beer we brewed.

Today, In the Loop Brewing Company welcomes you into its lakeside brewery to do the same. The brewery offers 12 rotating beers on tap, as well as a full wine selection and several craft colas to choose from. The company prides itself in providing its guests delicious beer, great service, and a relaxing experience.

Check out In the Loop Brewing Company on social media for current beers and upcoming food trucks, along with live music. Bring your families, friends, and pups — all are welcome!
