The Pioneer Florida Museum & Village, 15602 Pioneer Museum Road in Dade City, will host its annual “Raising Cane & Pancake Breakfast” Jan. 9 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a syrup tasting contest and cane grinding, sugar cane pole toss, greased pole climb, iron skillet toss, log sawing, recipe contest, and a kids’ zone. The breakfast will be served from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., and costs $3 per serving. Fried chicken and fixings will be served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and costs $5. Admission is $8 for adults, $6 for senior citizens, and $4 for children ages 6 to 18. Parking is free. No coolers, food or beverages are allowed. For information, call (352) 567-0262.
