The Pasco County Extension Office will offer a worm composting seminar on Feb. 2 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at the Land O’ Lakes Library, 2818 Collier Parkway. Guests can learn how to harness the power of red wiggler worms to turn garden waste and food scraps into nutrient-rich organic fertilizer. The seminar also will cover how to choose a container, the types of food scraps and garden waste to compost, methods for harvesting worm compost, and other tips. Admission is free, but registration must be made at Pasco.ifas.ufl.edu. Guests need to bring registration confirmation to ensure seating.
