The Land O’ Lakes Library, 2818 Collier Parkway, will offer “Sewing Basics 101” on April 9 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., for ages 9 and older. Participants can become familiar with a sewing machine, its parts, and how they are used. There will be hands-on practice to thread needles, and sewing lines and curves.
