The City of New Port Richey’s Environmental Committee will host its second annual “Okra Occasion” on July 25 at 6 p.m., at the New Port Richey Public Library, 5939 Main St. The event is “less than a festival, but more than an ordinary day.” There will be samples of okra dishes, brief lectures, fresh okra for sale, an okra recipe mini booklet and more.
