Run For Life benefit
“Run For Life,” to benefit the nonprofit Zephyrhills Pregnancy Care Center, will be Nov. 21. Registration begins at 7 a.m., with a 5K at 8:30 a.m., and a 1-mile fun run at 9:15 a.m.

11/14/2015 – Donate sports equipment
Lucas Brown, a senior and varsity baseball player at Bishop McLaughlin High School is collecting new or gently used baseball and softball equipment for Roberto’s Kids, a nonprofit organization in honor of Roberto Clemente, former Pittsburgh Pirates baseball player, who died en route to delivering earthquake relief supplies to Nicaragua in 1972.
Equipment that can be donated includes gloves, bats, balls, catcher’s equipment, bases, batting helmets, cleats, sneakers, uniforms, hats and socks. The collection date will be Nov. 14, from 9 a.m. to noon, at Bishop McLaughlin High School baseball fields, 13651 Hays Road in Spring Hill. The Travelers Rest Veterans Group will rededicate the Travelers Rest Veterans Memorial on Nov. 11 at 11 a.m., at Travelers Rest Resort, 29129 Johnston Road in Dade City.
