The Tampa Museum of Art, 120 Gasparilla Plaza in Tampa, is showcasing “Peter Max: 50 Years of Cosmic Dreaming” through Sept. 11. The exhibit celebrates the pop culture icon with 90 works spanning 50 years. Max uses bold colors and uplifting images to capture and inspire the imagination of the public. The Bay City Flyers will host a Radio Control Model Airplane Meet on Sept. 10 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Bay City Flyers Area 52 Flying Field, 22500 State Road 52 in Land O’ Lakes. UF/IFAS Pasco Extension will offer “Vegetable Gardening in Small Spaces” on Sept. 10 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., at the Land O’ Lakes Community Center, 5401 Land O’ Lakes Blvd. Participants can learn how to turn a tiny space into a medley of vegetables using regular containers, hanging containers, earth boxes, grow pails and other gardening methods.
