Congregation Kol Ami, 3919 Moran Road in Tampa, will host the Judith Sobel Hebrew Literacy Program with the first meeting on Aug. 25 at 6:30 p.m. During this session, participants will be evaluated to determine which class they belong in — beginners or one to improve what you know. First Baptist Church of Wesley Chapel, 29716 State Road 54, will host a groundbreaking ceremony for its new worship center on Aug. 21, following the 11 a.m. service. The church, a Pasco County Historical Site, was constituted with 34 charter members on June 2, 1878. The worship center will have a seating capacity of 675. The public is invited.
