08/25/2016 – Hebrew literacy program

Congregation Kol Ami, 3919 Moran Road in Tampa, will host the Judith Sobel Hebrew Literacy Program with the first meeting on Aug. 25 at 6:30 p.m. During this session, participants will be evaluated to determine which class they belong in — beginners or one to improve what you know. Hebrew classes will start in the fall on Thursday evenings. For information, call (813) 962-6338.

08/21/2016 – Worship center groundbreaking

First Baptist Church of Wesley Chapel, 29716 State Road 54, will host a groundbreaking ceremony for its new worship center on Aug. 21, following the 11 a.m. service. The church, a Pasco County Historical Site, was constituted with 34 charter members on June 2, 1878. The worship center will have a seating capacity of 675. The public is invited.

08/20/2016 – Kiddush luncheon

Congregation Kol Ami, 3919 Moran Road in Tampa, will host a Kiddush luncheon following the 9:30 a.m. Shabbat services on Aug. 20. The luncheon is open to the Jewish community. Admission is free, but non-members are asked to RSVP by calling (813) 962-6338.

Old Lutz School

Live Oak Theatre will have open auditions for its upcoming season on Aug. 20 from 10 a.m. to noon, at the Fellowship Hall of Faith Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 200 Mt. Fair Ave., in Brooksville.
