Re-enactors of the Third Seminole War and Sons of the Confederacy will be at the Dade City Cemetery on May 7 at 11 a.m. to remember the life of James Gaines Lanier, who played a key role in Florida history during the mid-1800s. The Land O’ Lakes Community Center and Heritage Park Foundation are hosting a Movie in the Park night on May 6 at 7:30 p.m. This month’s movie will be ‘Treasure Buddies,’ featuring adventurous talking puppies in the ruins of ancient Egypt.
