The Wesley Chapel Noon Rotary Club Duck Derby, a fundraising event to raise money for community projects, will take place on May 21 at 11 a.m., behind Hungry Harry’s Family BBQ, 3116 Land O’ Lakes Blvd., in Land O’ Lakes. Adopt a single ducky for $5, a five-ducky “quack pack” for $20, or a whole flock of 25 duckies for $100. Sponsor’s name will be attached to a highly trained, race-ready, rubber ducky. The Museum of Science & Industry, 4801 E. Fowler Ave., in Tampa, will host two paleontologists on April 30 at 12:30 p.m., and at 2:30 p.m. Dr. Brian Andres, assistant professor at the University of South Florida, and Rachel Frigot, a Ph.D. candidate at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, will share stories of their fossil-hunting adventures from the deserts of China to discovering new species.
