The Friends of Plant Park will host “GreenFest” on April 2 and April 3, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., rain or shine, at the Henry B. Plant Park at The University of Tampa, 401 W. Kenney Blvd. There will be plants, gardening accessories, kids’ activities, tool sharpening and guest speakers. Speaker topics will include orchid repotting, composting, butterfly gardening, organic gardening, rain barrels, groundcovers, and more. Admission is $3 for adults. The scenic 5k Little Manatee River Run (mud obstacle run) will take place on April 2 from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m., at Masonic Park & Youth Camp, 18050 U.S. 301 S., in Wimauma. The run will have more than 15 challenging and fun obstacles to test the elite runner, as well as the average runner, that includes winding trails along the river. Congregation Kol Ami, 3919 Moran Road in Tampa, will host these upcoming events:

• “S’mores and Songs” on April 2. Guitarist Charles Sull will join Cantor Beth around the fire pit to roast marshmallows and sing songs. Havdallah will start at 8 p.m., followed by light, laughter and music. The cost is $8 per person, or $25 for a family of four or more. Kids younger than age 5 are free. RSVP by March 30.
• “Laugh it Off” on April 3 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Guest speaker Dr. Tanya Gold will discuss mind and body wellness, spiritual health, and the benefits of laughter as an adjunct to treat medical conditions.
• “Father/Daughter Dance” on April 3 from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $18 for a daddy/daughter couple, and $8 for each additional daughter. There will be a light dinner and refreshments. RSVP by March 31.

Southport Springs, 3509 Southport Springs Parkway in Zephyrhills, will host its inaugural “Lighthouse Crafters Spring Arts & Crafts Fair” on April 2 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be one-of-a-kind art and jewelry pieces, as well as handmade pottery, wood crafts, garden décor, fabric crafts and more. The Land O’ Lakes Library, 2818 Collier Parkway, will offer “Galaxy of Coding” on April 2 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., for ages 9 to 15. Participants can learn basic coding skills to help save the galaxy from the First Order. Participants will use the “Hour of Code” activity from Code.org. The Pioneer Florida Museum Train Show will take place April 2 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the Mabel Jordan Barn, 15602 Pioneer Museum Road in Dade City.
