The Friends of Plant Park will host “GreenFest” on April 2 and April 3, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., rain or shine, at the Henry B. Plant Park at The University of Tampa, 401 W. Kenney Blvd. There will be plants, gardening accessories, kids’ activities, tool sharpening and guest speakers. The scenic 5k Little Manatee River Run (mud obstacle run) will take place on April 2 from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m., at Masonic Park & Youth Camp, 18050 U.S. 301 S., in Wimauma. The run will have more than 15 challenging and fun obstacles to test the elite runner, as well as the average runner, that includes winding trails along the river. Congregation Kol Ami, 3919 Moran Road in Tampa, will host these upcoming events:
- “S’mores and Songs” on April 2. Guitarist Charles Sull will join Cantor Beth around the fire pit to roast marshmallows and sing songs.
