The annual “Cycling for Autism” will take place on April 2 at the Pasco Rotary Pavilion at Concourse Nature Park, 15325 Alric Pottberg Road in Spring Hill. Gulfside Hospice is looking for volunteers for all five of its thrift shops. Volunteers must be at least 15 years old, and commit to at least four hours per week. Boy Scout Troop 33 of Land O’ Lakes is hosting a metal drive through May 16. All money from recycling will go to the troop.

All metal will be accepted, as well as appliances, grills, swing sets, compressors, electric motors, pots and pans, wire, old bicycles, garage doors, metal fencing, circuit boards, junk cars, radiators and more. Cars will be towed for free.

Donations can be dropped off in a bin at the back of the parking lot at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, 2348 Collier Parkway in Land O’ Lakes. Aluminum cans go in the container by the dumpsters at the church.

Metal also can be taken directly to Pasco Iron & Metal at 21240 Lake Patience Road in Land O’ Lakes (tag the donation for the troop and ask for receipt).

More than 100 Jersey Mike’s Subs restaurants are participating in the sixth annual March “Month of Giving” fundraising campaign. The campaign will culminate in Jersey Mike’s “Day of Giving” on March 30, when its local restaurants will donate 100 percent of the day’s sales to their local charity partner. In the Tampa/St. Petersburg area, the charity is Camp Hopetake.
