The Betmar Chorus, 65 voices strong, will present its annual Christmas concert on Dec. 6 at 7 p.m., at the Betmar Acres Clubhouse 2, 37137 Lakewood Drive in Zephyrhills. Morningstar Fishermen, 33336 Old Saint Joe Road in Dade City, will have a workshop called “Power Tools: For Women by Women” on Dec. 5 from 10 a.m. to noon. This is an interactive class where women can learn the safe and effective use of power tools; how to identify the parts and functions of tools; how to identify and select the proper drill and screwdriver bits; and how to select and change the blades on a circular saw, all while drilling, cutting and driving screws. Tampa’s tree lighting ceremony will take place at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park, 600 N. Ashley Drive, on Dec. 4 at 6 p.m. There will be music by Late Night Brass and a “Secret Santa Giveaway.” After the tree lighting, there will be a movie. Admission is free, but guests are asked to donate a teddy bear to the annual Rough Riders Teddy Bear Drive. Guests can bring blankets, low-back chairs, coolers and dogs on leashes. No glass or alcohol will be allowed. Concessions will be available. There also will be a Santa Fest Parade and Festival on Dec. 5. The parade starts at 11 a.m., and the festival is from noon to 4 p.m
