“Run For Life,” to benefit the nonprofit Zephyrhills Pregnancy Care Center, will be Nov. 21. The Oakdale Christmas House light display, 2719 Oakdale St., S., in St. Petersburg, will run from Nov. 27 through Jan. 3, 2016, nightly from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. The display is a half-acre covered with 250,000 lights. There are walkways with animated dolls and animals, water fountains, a computerized music light show, a small pond, a nearly three-story high snowman, a scale model railroad with 18 trains, an airport with moving planes and a working carnival, as well as a double bubble machine. The 22nd annual Flapjack 5K Race in memory of Coach Kris Keppel will take place Dec. 13 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., at the Land O’ Lakes Recreation Complex, 3032 Collier Parkway.
