The Tampa Area Parkinson’s Support Group will meet Nov. 18 at 1 p.m., at a new location at North Tampa Library, 8916 North Blvd., in Tampa.

The guest speaker will be Kelly Tehan of Dr. Robert Hauser’s office, on the topic of “What’s New in Parkinson’s Disease.”

Anyone with Parkinson’s disease, family members and caregivers can attend.

Pasco-Hernando State College will host a substance abuse awareness event on Nov. 18 at 4 p.m., at its Porter Campus at Wiregrass Ranch, 2727 Mansfield Blvd., in Wesley Chapel. Guests can learn how to recognize addictive behavior and address risk factors that may lead to substance abuse.
