San Ann Liquor & Lounge will host a benefit for Mark Smith, a lifelong resident of San Antonio diagnosed with bile duct cancer, on Nov. 14. The fundraiser will start with a golf tournament at 8 a.m. ($50 per player), at the Abbey Golf Course, followed by a noon barbeque chicken dinner for $5, a cornhole tournament at 2 p.m. ($25 per two-person team), and a firearm raffle and live auction at 6 p.m. There also will be $1 drafts, live music, giveaways, a silent auction and a 50-50 drawing. Atonement Lutheran Church, 29617 State Road 54 in Wesley Chapel, will host its annual “SOS Pancake Breakfast,” Nov. 14 from 8 a.m. to noon, to benefit the Helping Hands Pantry of Atonement. Danny Burgess will host the “Farm Share Holiday Food Giveaway” Nov. 14 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., at the Dade City Business Center, 15000 Citrus Country Drive in Dade City. Families who currently qualify for or receive government assistance can get free fresh food. Programs whose participants qualify include Free and Reduced School Lunch, food and housing assistance, and Medicaid and Social Security.
