OSTOMY GROUP MEETING

The Regional Wound Care and Hyperbaric Center Bayonet Point, 7525 Medical Drive in Hudson, will host an ostomy support group Oct. 28 at 5 p.m. All ostomy patients and their families are invited. Walk-ins are welcome. For information, call (727) 869-5551.

PERIPHERAL ARTERIAL SYMPOSIUM

Oak Hill Hospital will present a “Peripheral Arterial Disease Prevention & Treatment” symposium on Oct. 28 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., at Silverthorn Country Club, 4550 Golf Club Lane in Brooksville. Doctors Fawzi Soliman and Keri Davies will discuss the disease, its causes, symptoms, treatments and prevention. PREPARED CHILDBIRTH COURSE

The obstetrics program at Medical Center of Trinity, 9330 State Road 54, will offer a six-week prepared childbirth course starting Oct. 28. The class will meet one night per week from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. There is no fee. For information and to register, call (727) 834-5630.

CHATTERBOXES MEETING

The Medical Center of Trinity, 9330 State Road 54, will host a “Chatterboxes” support group meeting for individuals with communication deficits on Oct. 29 at 3 p.m. The group aims to assist individuals with communication deficits as a result of a cerebral vascular accident or other neurological disorders. Caregivers and spouses can attend. For information, call (727) 834-4445.

The New Tampa Regional Library, 10001 Cross Creek Blvd., is partnering with FitCity Cross Fit to offer a free “CrossFit for Tweens” class on Oct. 26 at 3:30 p.m. The class also will have a discussion on how to properly fuel the body for workouts. The Republican Club of Central Pasco will meet Oct. 26 at Copperstone Executive Suites, 3632 Land O’ Lakes Blvd., in Land O’ Lakes. The guest speaker will be Randy Maggard, Republican Executive Committee chairman on the topic of the 2016 Presidential campaign and the plans for the party to win the race.
