The University of South Florida’s Botanical Gardens, 12210 USF Pine Drive in Tampa, will have an “Orchid Expo” from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Oct. 24 and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Oct. 25. There will be local vendors, potting supplies for sale, blooming orchids and free drawings. There also will be a culture lecture on Saturday at 2 p.m. Admission is $5. Parking is free. The Land O’ Lakes First United Methodist Church, 6209 Land O’ Lakes Blvd., will host a “Family Fall Festival” with a pirate theme on Oct. 25 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Kids can wear costumes and participate in activities like “Pirate Ship Launch,” an obstacle course, hook toss, bobbing for apples and karaoke.
