The 49th San Antonio Rattlesnake Festival will be Oct. 17 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., in San Antonio. The Veterans Council of Hillsborough County will have a Field of Honor Ceremony at Veterans Memorial Park, 3602 U.S. 301 N in Tampa, on Oct. 17 at 11 a.m. The event will honor service members in the Army Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard who have lost their lives during the past three months while engaged in Operation Inherent Resolve and Operation Freedom’s Sentinel.
