A MATTER OF BALANCE

The Medical Center of Trinity, 9330 State Road 54, will offer “A Matter of Balance,” a program designed to help people manage concerns about falls and to increase physical activity, Oct. 12 to Nov. 4. COLON CANCER TUTORIAL

The Regional Medical Center of Bayonet Point will host a Tuesday Tutorial on “Colon Cancer: Prevention, Screening, Diagnosis and Treatment” on Oct. 13, at the Rao Musunuru MD Conference Center, 14100 Yosemite Drive in Hudson. Registration and lunch begin at 11:30 a.m., followed by the tutorial at noon. Reservations are required. PASCO AGING NETWORK MEETING

LADIES’ NITE OUT

Oak Hill Hospital will present a “Ladies’ Nite Out” on Oct. 14 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., at Silverthorn Country Club, 4550 Golf Club Lane in Brooksville. There will be massages, makeup demonstrations, chair yoga, a complimentary dinner, and a Q-and-A session with a panel of local physicians. There also will be jewelry for purchase, and a chance to win baskets and other prizes. Admission is free. GENERAL CANCER SUPPORT

Florida Cancer Affiliates, 3611 Little Road in Trinity, will have a general cancer support group meeting Oct. 14 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Participants will be provided with educational material on cancer and cancer treatment. Survivors and family members will have a chance to raise concerns about their condition, and learn what others are feeling and what they experience. Refreshments will be served. FEEDING PASCO’S ELDERLY

Feeding Pasco’s Elderly Inc., will host its first “Ambassador’s Breakfast” on Oct. 14 from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., at Spartan Manor in New Port Richey. The organization is seeking to help Pasco County’s vulnerable and food insecure senior population. WOMEN’S HEALTH FORUM

Oak Hill Hospital will host a symposium called “Everything You Ever Wanted to Ask Your OB/GYN” on Oct. 15 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., at Heritage Pines Country Club, 11524 Scenic Hills Blvd., in Hudson. Doctors Lauren Juyia and Mohammed Tabbaa will discuss topics from hormone therapy to menopause, and everything in between. RUN FOR LIFE BENEFIT

Run For Life, to benefit the nonprofit Zephyrhills Pregnancy Care Center, will be Nov. 21. Registration begins at 7 a.m., with a 5K at 8:30 a.m., and a one-mile fun run at 9:15 a.m. Runners, walkers and virtual runners who register by Oct. 25 will get a T-shirt. Registration forms also can be picked up at The Greater Zephyrhills Chamber of Commerce office, YMCA or FL Retroflex Fitness. Online registration is at PCCZephyrhills.org, which will link you to active.com.

Sponsorships are available until Oct. 15. All sponsorships include the sponsor’s name on the event T-shirt. There also will be face painting, live music and three raffles.

Hillsborough County Extension Service and the Hillsborough County Fair are sponsoring the annual “Recycled Yard Art Contest” to promote environmental awareness and encourage the reuse/recycling of yard materials. The contest is open to all Hillsborough County residents of all ages. Entries must be delivered to the Hillsborough County Fairgrounds between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., on Oct. 17, or between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Oct. 19.
