WELLNESS CENTER OPENING

The New Leaf Chiropractic Wellness Center, 2029 Osprey Lane, Suite B, in Lutz, will host a Grand Opening & Health Fair Sept. 26 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a blood drive from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., catered food and drinks, raffles and giveaways, free health screenings, product samples, a presentation on health and nutrition, entertainment, and a fundraiser for Tampa Leadership & Philanthropy for local veterans. For information, call (813) 254-2500.

VEIN DISORDERS SEMINAR

The Health & Wellness Center at Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel, 2700 Healing Way, will have a seminar called “What You Should Know About Venous Disorders” on Sept. 29 at noon. Dr. Ketul Chauhan will discuss symptoms and treatments of venous disorders ranging from superficial vein insufficiency and varicose veins, and deep vein insufficiency and venous blood clots. A free lunch will be provided. NUTRITION AND DIABETES

The Medical Center of Trinity, 9330 State Road 54, will have a class on nutrition and diabetes on Sept. 29 at 10 a.m. The class will cover the basic principles of nutrition, including how food affects blood glucose, understanding meal timing, and better food choices. Reservations are required. GENERAL CANCER SUPPORT GROUP

Florida Cancer Affiliates will host a general cancer support group meeting Sept. 30 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at its Trinity center, 3611 Little Road. Participants are provided with educational material about cancer and cancer treatment. LEGACY OF LIFE CELEBRATION

Oasis Pregnancy Care Centers will host its annual “Legacy of Life Celebration” on Oct. 1 at Spartan Manor, 6121 Massachusetts Ave., in New Port Richey. Doors open at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m., and a program at 7:15 p.m. The guest speaker is Mike G. Williams, comedian, speaker and writer. Season tickets for Live Oak Theatre’s 2015-16 productions are now on sale. Its upcoming fall musical adaptation is “Around the World in 80 Days” on Oct. 9, Oct. 10, Oct. 16 and Oct. 17. The spring musical theatre classic of “The Secret Garden” will be performed in April and May. There also will be a Christmas celebration. All performances are at Faith Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 200 Mount Fair Ave., in Brooksville. All tickets include coffee, tea and dessert. 10/03/2015 – VOLUNTEER FOR DRESSING ANGELS

Dressing Angels, a charity that provides shoes and clothing to mentally ill children and adults residing in mental hospitals and group homes, is looking for 30 volunteers for upcoming fundraisers to open a Transition Resource Center in 2016. The center will offer services such as job training skills, art therapy, yoga classes, support groups, lunch and more. 10/03/2015 – MURDER MYSTERY FUNDRAISING TEA

Women-n-Charge will host its annual Murder Mystery Tea on Oct. 3 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., at The Groves Golf & Country Club, 7924 Melogold Circle in Land O’ Lakes. This year’s event will have a western theme. There also will be a hat contest, raffle prizes and food by Dash of Salt ‘n Pepper. Tickets are $15 each, or two for $25. There will be a Pasco County Master Gardener Plant Sale Oct. 3 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Pasco County Fairgrounds, 36722 State Road 52 in Dade City. There will be native plants, berry bushes, fruit trees, orchids, daffodil bulbs, trees, roses, herbs and vines for sale. No pets, except for service animals. Admission and parking are free.
