The Florida Department of Elder Affairs’ SHINE program will present a Medicare seminar July 11 from 10 a.m. to noon, at the Land O’ Lakes Library, 2818 Collier Parkway. A representative from the program will be available to answer questions, and provide information on the basics of Medicare and prescription drug plan options. Community members and local personalities will read the novel “To Kill a Mockingbird” aloud July 13 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., in anticipation of the release of Harper Lee’s lost novel “Go Set a Watchman” on July 14.
