The Lighthouse for the Visually Impaired and Blind, and the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services of Florida, will host joint open houses in honor of Helen Keller’s birthday and the 25th anniversary of the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act. The Pasco event will be June 24 at 8610 Galen Wilson Blvd., in Port Richey. The Hernando event will be June 25 at The Arc Nature Coast Education Center, 6495 Mariner Blvd., in Spring Hill. Both free events are from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., and include food, technology demonstrations, simulations, a mini Dining in the Dark, hearing screenings, and other activities.
