March of Dimes Florida Chapter is looking for applications for its Community Awards grants to support the programs that address unmet maternal and child health needs. Awarding the grants helps to pursue the improvement of the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality.
Community Awards can be requested in amounts up to $3,000, and there are restrictions on their use. For example, they may not be used to support the purchase of equipment or furniture, individual tuition or conference fees, dues or membership fees, employee salary, or programs requiring long-term March of Dimes funding.
Applications will be accepted until Oct. 23, and grantees will be notified on Nov. 20.
The funding period is from Dec. 1, 2015 to Dec. 31, 2016.
