Pasco ASAP (Alliance for Substance Abuse Prevention) will host “You Are Not Your Past,” an event in celebration of National Recovery Month, on Sept. 24 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., at The New Port Richey Library, 5939 Main St.
The event will honor individuals in recovery and their support systems. There also will be speakers, live music, and community recovery programs and support services available for questions and information. The program will be followed by a fellowship gathering from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
PASCO ASAP also hosts general monthly meetings featuring speakers sharing stories of recovery. Participants are encouraged to “Stomp Out Stigma” by writing notes of support or flooding social media with positive messages.
The next meeting is on Sept. 27 from 10 a.m. to noon, at the Land O’ Lakes Community Center, 5401 Land O’ Lakes Blvd.
