The Sertoma Speech & Hearing Foundation of Florida screened more than 13,000 students at 55 schools last year and is looking for volunteers to help with the same this year. No previous training is required. Volunteers can choose which schools they prefer to volunteer at. The average screening time is two to three hours. All volunteers must pass the School Board background check. Prospective volunteers can apply online at Pasco.k12.fl.us, and click on the Volunteer Application at the bottom of the page.
