What’s Happening (9/17/25): Saddle up for Country Night on ice

September 17, 2025 By Special to The Laker/Lutz News

WESLEY CHAPEL –  AdventHealth Center Ice will present “Country Night, a themed public skate session with on and off-ice games, themed party favors and two-stepping to your favorite hits by DJ Reign.

The event takes place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Sept. 20 at 3173 Cypress Ridge Blvd., Wesley Chapel.

AdventHealth Center Ice regularly hosts two-hour themed ice skating sessions during its public skate times.

While most public skate sessions at AdventHealth Center Ice are 1 hour, with a schedule posted at AHCenterIce.com, the monthly two-hour theme skate and the weekly “Friday Night Meltdown” showcase party lights, music DJ and extended skating time.

“Theme skates at AdventHealth Center Ice give guests a different way to express and immerse themselves while participating in a community ice skate,” events director Matthew Christopher said. “For the upcoming event, the in-house restaurant and bar, Top Shelf Sports Lounge, will have kid and adult-friendly themed drinks like a Rootin’ Tootin’ Root Beer Float.”
