The Pasco County Extension Office will present “Good Bug, Bad Bug” on Feb. 27 at 10 a.m., at Home Depot, 10017 U.S. 19 in Port Richey. Participants can learn which bugs are beneficial to plants, and which are not, and how to identify good and troublesome insects. To preregister, visit Pasco.ifas.ufle.edu, and bring registration confirmation to seminar.

The Lutz Branch Library, 101 W. Lutz Lake Fern Road, will host “All About Cats: A Fun and Educational Musical Tribute to the World’s Most Popular Pet” on Feb. 27 at 2 p.m. Denny Mitchell, local composer, singer and storyteller, will make the presentation. For information, call (813) 273-3652.

02/27/2016 – Snowbird Palooza

“Snowbird Palooza” will take place Feb. 27 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Zephyr Park, 3816 Fifth Ave., in Zephyrhills. This senior-friendly event will include exhibitors, keynotes speakers at 10 a.m. and noon, bingo, free health checks, senior speed dating at 11 a.m., entertainment, and a movie in the park at 1 p.m. The One Blood, Blood Mobile will be on-site all day for donations. 02/27/2016 – Kids can build at Lowe’s

Area Lowe’s Home Improvement stores will offer a free workshop for kids ages 5 and older on Feb. 27 at 10 a.m. Kids can make a free Monster Jam dragon race car with preregistration on the store’s website. 02/27/2016 – Sydney Has a Sister fundraiser

Sydney Has a Sister, a nonprofit organization supporting siblings impacted by autism, will host its “Bowties & Brewskis Pub Crawl” on Feb. 27 at World of Beer, 402 S. Howard Ave., in Tampa. Registration is from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., followed by the crawl from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., and an after-party from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Admission includes six free drinks, plus a spot at the after-party with local band Solar Exposure.
