BayCare helps developer launch wellness-focused community

September 15, 2026 By Staff Reports

New health care navigator program at Angeline provides residents with dedicated registered nurse and personalized health solutions

TAMPA – Metro Development Group and BayCare Health System are launching a program designed to bring a new level of personalized health and wellness support to residents at Angeline in Pasco County.

The Metro × BayCare Health Care Navigator Program introduces a registered nurse who will serve as a trusted resource for residents, helping them navigate their health and wellness needs while providing easier access to BayCare services.

The program builds on Metro and BayCare’s partnership to create healthier, more connected communities.

“Health and wellness are central to the way we design our communities, and that includes making access to quality care more convenient for our residents,” said Lisa Gibbings, Metro’s vice president of marketing and communications. “Through this partnership with BayCare, we’re introducing a unique approach that brings trusted clinical guidance directly into the community while making it easier for residents to access the care and wellness resources they need.”

The Metro × BayCare Health Care Navigator will maintain a regular on-site presence at Angeline, serving as residents’ first point of contact for health and wellness questions. The registered nurse will also be available by phone, email and chat. In addition to coordinating appointments and helping residents determine the appropriate level of care, she will proactively connect residents with preventive screenings, wellness programming and other resources.

BayCare’s mobile health unit will regularly visit the community to provide access to services like vaccinations, blood pressure checks, glucose testing and other preventive health screenings.

“As these communities grow, we’re working to ensure residents have convenient access to trusted guidance and services that support their overall health,” BayCare President and CEO Stephanie Conners said.

Angeline is one of Metro Development Group’s signature master-planned communities. Health and wellness are designed within its core.

“This partnership reflects the direction Metro continues to move as we shape the next generation of master-planned communities built upon the pillar of health and wellness,” Gibbings said. “Today’s homebuyers require different health and wellness needs. That is why the partnership is geared around providing customized health care solutions.”

Beyond its partnership with BayCare, the community features more than 60% preserved green space, miles of walking and biking trails, and a neighborhood farm and café.

Angeline will debut The Social, a gathering place featuring a resort-style pool, dog park, playground and pickleball courts, next summer. The design of the Social was centered around health and wellness to encourage recreation, outdoor activity and connection.
