Harlem Wizards to perform in Tampa

The Harlem Wizards exhibition basketball team will perform at Liberty Middle School on Feb. 17 at 7 p.m. The Wizards will play the Liberty FastBreak basketball team, comprised of teachers, principals, school staff and community members. The event is hosted by the Liberty Middle School PTSA and is open to the public. In addition to the game, fans will experience basketball tricks, comedy and audience interaction throughout the show.

Tickets will be available for purchase at HarlemWizards.com, or through Liberty Middle School.

WUSF has announced “The Moth,” a show that features a diverse lineup of guests telling their personal stories of adventure, struggle, redemption, creativity and more, will be coming to the Tampa Theatre, for a second time, at 711 N. Franklin St., on Oct. 10. Guests tell their stories on stage, without notes, in the long tradition of community gathering around the fire to share their experiences and their culture. Maxwell ready to serenade in Florida portion of tour

The soulful sounds of Maxwell have lingered on R&B and hip-hop playlists for more than 25 years. And Florida residents can hear those sounds live through The Serenade Tour. The three-time Grammy Award-winner will perform at the Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood on Sept. 14 and at Amalie Arena in Tampa on Sept. 15. Maxwell has released five albums since his debut: “Maxwell's Urban Hang Suite” (1996), “Embrya” (1998), “Now” (2001), “BLACKsummers'night” (2009) and ““blackSUMMERS’night” (2016). His return to touring marks a reunion with Jazmine Sullivan, who joined him on his Maxwell 08 Tour. What’s Happening: Dude Dad coming to Tampa Theatre

Dude Dad coming to Tampa Theatre TAMPA – Tampa Theatre and AEG Presents welcome Taylor Calmus – AKA “Dude Dad” – for a stop on his On Thin Ice tour. Calmus is a Colorado-based video creator who has become a viral sensation through his comedy videos.
