HUDSON – Hope Services has purchased a second Life Skills and Vocational Training Center in Hudson.
The nonprofit provides vocational training and employment support to people with disabilities and others facing barriers to employment. Its new center, formerly a GTE Financial building at 6901 Old County Road 52 in Hudson, will expand the nonprofit’s ability to provide hands-on, industry-focused training throughout the region.
One of the center’s offerings will be Hope Services’ basic medical training program. The facility will include a simulated hospital room where participants can become familiar with the environment, equipment and responsibilities they may encounter in entry-level health care positions.
“This new center gives us the opportunity to meet people closer to where they live and connect them with training that can lead to meaningful employment,” said David Caldas, executive director of operations. “Every classroom and training area has been designed to help individuals build practical skills, confidence and greater independence.”
The new center will allow Hope Services to serve more clients while expanding its capacity to provide career-focused training that aligns with local workforce needs.

This new center will allow us to reach even more individuals, help them discover their abilities and prepare them for meaningful and fulfilling careers.”
