During a spring break trip to Florida, young angler Krieger Brasseale set five new youth Florida Saltwater Fishing Records, according to a news release. Brasseale, who previously held the All Tackle Record for white grunt, achieved new records for weight and length in various categories, including sheepshead, Spanish mackerel, spotted seatrout, red drum and snook. Brasseale will receive certificates and a custom metal sculpture for his achievements. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) encourages others to pursue records and follow best fish handling practices.
