At Avalon Park Wesley Chapel, a premier master-planned community in Pasco County, it’s all about community. As 2023 kicks off, here are some of Avalon Park Wesley Chapel’s top events – all of which
are always open and free to the public – to look forward to later this year.
Avalon Aglow

Absolutely Avalon
Absolutely Avalon is an event to celebrate everything that makes Avalon Park Wesley Chapel absolutely amazing. The event is filled with international food, music and vendors, activities for kids, community performances, and a fantastic laser light show. The event focuses on diversity and culture, which is some of Avalon Park Wesley Chapel’s core values. Absolutely Avalon will take place on Saturday, April 15 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.


4th of July Celebration
Avalon Park Wesley Chapel shows its patriotic colors at its annual 4th of July Celebration. There are community performances, food trucks, a bike parade, patriotic bake-off, bounce houses, and numerous exhibitors and vendors. The event always ends with a spectacular bang — an incredible fireworks show. The celebration will take place on Tuesday, July 4, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

 

Spooktacular

Spooktacular
It’s a spooky, fun-filled Halloween celebration at Avalon Park Wesley Chapel’s annual Spooktacular event. There’s a costume contest, a pumpkin patch, and plenty of candy for all to enjoy. Avalon Park Wesley Chapel also invites its residents to decorate their front porches as hauntingly as they can, and awards first-, second- and third-place prizes. Spooktacular will take place on Saturday, Oct. 21, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.


Avalon Aglow
Avalon Aglow allows families to celebrate the holiday season together by creating traditions and memories that they can share for a lifetime. Highlights of the event include pictures with Santa, “real” snow, train rides, and a spectacular fireworks show. Avalon Aglow will take place on Saturday, Dec. 9, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

ICI Homes Finishes The Year Strong

Jazz Under the Starz
Supporting the arts and providing a venue for local artists have always been core goals of Avalon Park Wesley Chapel. The latest addition to this vision this year is Jazz Under the Starz, which has been hosting monthly concerts at Avalon Park’s downtown area. Some of the featured performers from the year included Project Necessary, TFox and The Crew, David Bathen, and Follow the Fiddle Band.

Downtown Groundbreaking
Avalon Park Wesley Chapel hosted a groundbreaking ceremony on July 14, to celebrate the start of construction on the first phase of its highly anticipated downtown area. The three-story 73,067-square-foot mixed-use building plans to include 40 multifamily apartments and 23,720 square feet of commercial/retail space on the ground floor. Initial plans for the commercial/retail space include an approximately 12,000-square-foot food hall called The Marketplace at Avalon Park, as well as a co-working space, The 5th Floor.

“This phase of construction really helps us move even closer to that vision of building a place where families can build memories and traditions together in a town they can call their own,” says Beat Kahli, president and CEO, Avalon Park Group. Upon completion, Avalon Park Wesley Chapel will encompass more than 1,800 acres and will host approximately 400,000 square feet of retail and 100,000 square feet of office space in its downtown.

Get Festive This Holiday Season At Avalon Park Wesley Chapel

Avalon Park’s annual holiday event, Avalon Aglow, is almost here!

Avalon Aglow will kick-start the holidays on Saturday, Dec. 10 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a variety of family friendly activities such as pictures with Santa, balloon-twisters, bounce park, stilt walkers and caricature artists.

“Avalon Aglow allows families to celebrate the holidays together by creating traditions and memories that they will share for a lifetime,” says Stephanie Lerret, senior vice president of marketing for Avalon Park Group.

Some of the unique components of this event include a “real” snow slide, where families who may not have ever seen snow before get the opportunity to see and play in the cold stuff.

There also will be a variety of local vendors selling apparel, drinkware and handmade jewelry, as well as glow-up toys and more.

“It’s the perfect opportunity for some Christmas gift shopping,” says marketing and events coordinator Marielle Fernandez.

Food vendors include the Wing Box, Mapache Tacos, Kawaii Bubble Tea, Craving Donuts, Thirsty Lemonade and Kelley’s Hot Dogs.

The event, which is free and open to the public, will end with a spectacular fireworks show to round out the night.

But the fun of Christmastime doesn’t stop there! The celebration continues Wednesday, Dec. 14 with Avalon Park’s Holiday Hayrides.

Get the family together and hop on a hayride to check out the premier, master-planned community and its residents’ wonderful holiday decorations.

Hayriders can submit their vote for their favorite decorated front porches at Avalon Park Wesley Chapel’s amenity clubhouse. There will be three winners: first place will receive a $100 gift card, second place will receive a $50 gift card and third place will receive a $25 gift card.

These Can’t-Miss Events Are Coming Up At Avalon Park Wesley Chapel

As we head into the final months of the year, Avalon Park Wesley Chapel — a premier master-planned community in Pasco County — has tons of fun events in the works for the local community.

From movie nights, a spooktacular Halloween event, community yard sale and so much more, check out what’s coming up at Avalon Park Wesley Chapel.

Jazz Under The Starz
During this event, guests can enjoy live music, art and poetry, and check out different vendors and food trucks.

The next Jazz Under The Starz takes place on Oct. 29 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets are $20 per person, which can be purchased at JazzUnderTheStarz.com. Kids ages 12 and under are free, and pets are allowed as long as they aren’t aggressive and the owners are cleaning up after their furry friends. Concert guests also can bring lawn chairs and coolers.

Movie Nights
This fun-for-all-ages event gives families a chance to watch a hit film under the stars. All movies start at dark.

Here is the movie line-up for the remainder of the year:

  • Oct. 14: “Zootopia” & “Hocus Pocus” — Avalon Park Wesley Chapel will have a Disney double-feature as they play Walt Disney’s “Zootopia,” a comedy-adventure set in a city of anthropomorphic animals; and Disney’s “Hocus Pocus,” a classic Halloween movie about a trio of diabolical witches.
  • Nov. 11: “Brave” — Disney and Pixar’s “Brave” is about Princess Merida determined to carve her own path in life, which results in chaos to her kingdom. She must use her bravery and archery skills to undo a beastly curse before it’s too late.
  • Dec. 9: “The Grinch” — The 2018 animated version of the classic Christmas tale, The Grinch plots to ruin Christmas for the village of Whoville.

The event, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., is free and open to the public.

Avalon Aglow
Join Avalon Park Wesley Chapel for its annual fun-filled holiday celebration, Avalon Aglow. The festivities kick off on Dec. 10 starting at 5 p.m. There will be pictures with Santa, REAL snow, vendors, live music, and a complimentary bounce park, followed by a spectacular fireworks show. This event is free and open to the public.

ICI Homes Gets Ready For Second Phase in Bexley

ICI Homes, one of Florida’s best known and prestigious homebuilders, is excited to begin its second phase of homes in Bexley, a planned community embracing a natural setting in Land O’ Lakes.

“We haven’t been in Bexley for a few years, and are thrilled to be coming back,” says Greg Jones, Tampa division manager for ICI Homes.

Phase two will feature 32 homesites, all in close proximity to Bexley’s premier amenity center, which features a resort-style pool, game room, well-equipped fitness room, indoor and outdoor fireplaces, and a community cafe.

“It’s basically like having the amenity center in your backyard,” says Jones.

Ranging from 1,500 square feet to 2,600 square feet, the 32 homesites will start in the upper $400s and will have one- and two-story options, and will feature alley garages. All of these homes, in the spirit of ICI’S brand, will be fully customizable to each and every homeowner’s interest and style.

The Bexley community features single-family homes that absorb the “Old Florida” feel. Preservation is the key to Bexley’s beauty, and the community is nestled into the existing landscape integral to the Bexley way of life. It also has thousands of acres of preserved wetlands, miles of recreational trails, and a great location off State Road 52 and the Suncoast Parkway.

“Bexley is a flagship community in the Land O’ Lakes area,” says Jones. “There’s so much the area has — from shops, restaurants, parks and trails — Bexley is able to offer all of that because of its superb location.”

Lake Jovita Continues To Have Great Success
ICI Homes continues to have great success in Lake Jovita — an established master-planned community in Dade City.

“New homeowners are moving in monthly,” says Jones. “If you’re looking for a community with wider homesites (that can be up to three-quarters of an acre), no CDDs, located in a growing city, Lake Jovita is the place for you.”

Some of the inventory homes that will be offered in Lake Jovita include the Charlotte, Costa Mesa and Egret.

The Charlotte’s 2,106-square-foot floor plan is designed for optimal convenience, allowing you to enter through a mudroom area attached to the garage.
