The Pasco Federated Republican Women’s Club will meet on April 1 at 9 a.m., at The Groves Golf and Country Club, 7924 Melogold Circle in Land O’ Lakes. The guest speaker will be James Mallo, chairman of the Republican Party of Pasco, on the topic of going forward and into elections 2024. Breakfast will be served for a cost ranging from $5 to $11. The Land O’ Lakes Recreation Complex, 3032 Collier Parkway, will host a Bunny Hop Eggstravaganza on April 1 from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be bounce houses, games, music, food trucks, and scheduled egg scrambles. The event will be at the outside football fields and basketball court. Registration is required to participate in the egg scrambles. The cost is $3 per child. 04/01/2023 – Spring Plant Sale
The Rosebud Continuum’s Spring Plant Sale is set for April 1 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at 22843 Hale Road in Land O’ Lakes. Plants will include fruit trees, fresh herbs and vegetables. Rosebud will offer two free tree grafting demonstrations throughout the day. All plants used for the grafting demos will be raffled off. There also will be additional vendors. 04/01/2023 – Dade City Art Walk
The Downtown Dade City Art Walk will take place April 1 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. There will be more than 20 art locations for guests to meet the artists and shop local artwork, as well as a little Pre-Casso Exhibit for young aspiring artists. There will be an opening ceremony at 5 p.m., along with a map distribution, at Florida Cracker Lunch on Limoges.
03/26/2023 – Enchanted Garden Fest
Safety Harbor’s Enchanted Garden Fest will take place on March 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Folly Farm Nature Preserve, 1538 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. St., N. The event is free and will include plant, garden and art vendors; enchanted performances; fairy doors and gnome villages to search for; and a character costume contest for anyone who wants to participate. There also will be an artist and a contractor constructing a wooden “Gnomeo” on site. Three programs will be offered (pre-registration is required): Backyard Composting at 10:30 a.m. (free); Vertical Garden Workshop at 11:45 a.m. ($15); and DIY Rain Barrel Workshop, 1:45 p.m. ($55). The Vietnam Veterans of America/Chapter 787, the Veterans Council of Hillsborough County, and Hillsborough County Consumer & Veterans Services will host a “Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans & War Dogs Remembrance” on March 25 at 10 a.m., at Veterans Memorial Park and Rear Admiral LeRoy Collins Jr. Veterans Museum, 3602 U.S. 301 N., in Tampa. The event will feature a 50th Year Vietnam War Commemoration lapel pinning for all veterans of the era and their surviving spouses; salutes to local military heroes and the canines who served in war; patriotic music, rifle salute and playing of taps; on-site resources from the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital for the Agent Orange Registry, caregiving, pharmacy, suicide prevention, and Veterans Affairs benefit claims; refreshments ranging from American picnic fare to authentic Southeast Asian cuisine; and a traditional performance of the Phoenix and Lion Dance.
